Las Vegas Gambling Tips: Video Keno – Part Two (Continued)

On The Town With Vegas Vic
By: Victor H. Royer

Welcome to Las Vegas! My name is Victor H. Royer, but everyone just calls me Vegas Vic. I was named after that famous neon sign in Downtown Las Vegas, that cowboy with the hat on top of the Pioneer Club, always waving his hand and beckoning to his long love, Sassy Sally, on the other side of the street. I will be writing a few articles for AccessVegas.com, so I hope you enjoy them.

Video Keno – Part Two (Continued)

These local players began to understand the technology, and began to understand the benefits of games like Video Keno. They suddenly realized that there was money to be won here, and for a much smaller investment than — for example — required on the vastly more popular video poker games that by that time had been hugely popular in almost all casinos everywhere for quite some time. Even regular slot players soon discovered these Game King machines, and in their game menus discovered Video Keno. Now they could play longer, for less, and have a chance at really big wins. What could be better?

Nevertheless, still today, many casual players shy away from Video Keno. This is still due to a large extent to the seeming complexity of the game, and the apparent boredom that it can elicit from players who just don’t understand it, or the benefits of playing it. Of course the other factor is the longevity requirement. Just as with Lounge Keno, Video Keno requires time and patience. Hits are frequent, but to maximize the benefit of the game the player must be able to sustain play for a long time. Often I have played these Video Keno games for 3 to 6 hours, and more, sometimes for 12 hours and even 16 hours at a time before I hit the jackpot. Patience pays. This is the credo that you must have if you play any kind of keno game, as well as Video Keno.

Unfortunately many casual casino visitors either do not have it, or don’t want to “waste” their time. This is understandable, because many casual players come to casinos infrequently, perhaps once or twice a year on their vacation or holiday trip. They stay only 3 days, or 4 days, and in that time they try to pack as much activity into it as they can. This is bad, because it always costs them a lot more money than it should, or would, if they only used their heads and thought about it for a while. I have also been to other casinos as a visitor, to Reno, Sparks, Lake Tahoe, Laughlin, even staying as a guest in many Las Vegas hotels, the Midwest and Connecticut. As a tourist, there for only 4 days or so, I understand the desire to play everything, everywhere, do everything, be everywhere, try everything everywhere and all the time. It’s overwhelming. And it costs money. That’s why casinos can rake in billions of dollars every year, nationwide. Video Keno is the ideal alternative to this hustle and bustle.

Whenever you are in a casino, and if you are one of those casual players, by all means do all those things you want, and experience all those games and things that casinos provide for your entertainment. Then, take a rest, and find a Video Keno machine. Learn the game, and read the help and pay table screens on the machine. Then pick your selections, sit back and relax, and enjoy a restful, entertaining experience in the casino, in front of a game that can easily provide you with terrific profits. Use your Video Keno playing time not only to relax, but also to make some money as you get ready for all the other activities that make up your enjoyment of your casino trip, or vacation. Of course if you are a local, or a frequent and regular casino visitor, then it is even more important for you to learn about this game, and experience it.

There is a lot more to Video Keno than first meets the eye. It is one of the very few casino games that can — and does — provide truly powerful profits, often for a very small investment. As a casino player of all the various and great casino games, I wish to tell you that I play Video Keno almost exclusively now, simply because this is the game that provides very big hits and large profits very regularly. This is a fact, and not fiction. Here, I will show you how.
