Mr. Lucky's
By Chef John Guinivere - ChefLive.Com
Mr. Lucky's in the Hard Rock Hotel, is one of my favorites especially for breakfast! I go with Kym almost every Sunday and we both order the same thing. Kym gets the eggs benedict and I get the chicken fried steak "breakfast style". We have gone with a large group and every body has always been happy with what they ordered. They pour great coffee in giant coffee cups which they fill with diner precision.
The food is only half the reason to go to Mr. Lucky's, the people watching just does not get any better. There is more silicone running around that place than in a DOW factory. Plus most have not even gone to bed yet, if you get there around 9 AM. Those days are over for me unfortunately but there is nothing wrong with living through others, is there?
We really do enjoy the service there as well! They are always friendly and if you are into celebrities, ask who as eaten there lately, you are sure to get an ear-full. There is a locals dish you can ask for that is pretty cheap and a good value: ask for the locals Steak and Shrimp. It will fill you up and set you back about $6, don't worry if you are not a local they won't card you.
