 Neither did I until I stumbled upon Lucia’s Mexican Restaurant on 3050 East Desert Inn Road. A friend and I popped in for some take-out lunch and I have been back 5 times since. Patrick Lopez and his partner Lucia’s have brought their version of Colorado Mexican food to Las Vegas and we are all better-off for it.
The major difference between their style of food and traditional Mexican food is the green chilies they use for their sauce, Their sauces are also rue based and are delicious! I personally love the crispy Chili Relleno smothered in green sauce. I am a huge rellonos fan but never have I had the crunchy version they offer. If you like the soft chili rellono they also offer it as well, I think you'll be happy either way.
Las week I invited a dozen friends too Lucia’s and we all had a delicious time. Amongst all of us we ordered a huge variety of items and there was only satisfaction at the table. I of course had my favorite but my friends tried every thing on the menu except the menudo.
