Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort (LVSSR) kicks off its 2013 summer season on Saturday, May 25. The resort will be open Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Activities include: scenic chairlift rides, disc golf, hiking, mountain biking and lawn games. LVSSR welcomes tent and RV campers. This summer, the U.S. Forest Service is renovating its campgrounds so LVSSR is offering the only sites available in Lee Canyon.
LVSSR’s Bighorn Grill and Bristlecone Bar will be open during regular summer hours. A selection of picnic baskets will be available for purchase at the Lee Canyon General Store in the main lodge. Guests can take their baskets to a number of picnic areas around the resort.
During Memorial Day weekend, free scenic chairlift rides are offered to those who have or are currently serving in the U.S. military and their families.
Passes for summer activities can be purchased at Lee Canyon General Store and on-line at skilasvegas.com The summer season is scheduled to last until Sept. 2. Summer season pricing is as follows:
Chairlift Rides (all riders) $10
Disc Golf (includes chairlift ride, 2 discs and map) $17
Disc Golf Season Pass (non-transferable) $50

Hiking and Mountain Biking Free
Camping: RV’s (only self-contained) $25 per night (3 day max)
Tent $15 per night (3 day max)
“The mountain offers tremendous opportunities for year-round family recreation,” said Kevin Stickelman, president and general manager of LVSSR. “The temperatures on the mountain are up to 30 degrees cooler than in the city, offering a refreshing change of pace during the hot summer months.”
In anticipation of the upcoming summer season, LVSSR will host an annual hill clean up at 10 a.m., on Saturday, May 18. Volunteers will receive a complimentary BBQ lunch at 1 p.m. The volunteer who collects the most trash by lunchtime will receive a 2013/14 Battle Born season pass and other prizes will be awarded to participants.
