Rí Rá Las Vegas, located inside The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, will host an inaugural charity golf classic on May 31, 2013 at Silverstone Golf Club. The event benefits Shriners Hospitals for Children, a network of 22 hospitals providing innovative pediatric specialty care, world-class research and outstanding medical education regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
The Rí Rá Golf Classic is an 18-hole, four-person modified scramble offering golfers a twist on the conventional charity golf tournament. The course features sponsored holes that offer participants beer and alcoholic beverages during play. Additionally, golfers will enjoy complimentary classic American fare available at Silverstone’s clubhouse. Golfers will compete to win awards in a variety of categories, including lowest grossing team, longest drive, and more. Registration starts at 12:30 p.m. with tee off beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Following the classic, Rí Rá will host an after party and silent auction at the pub, where golfers can enjoy a buffet meal featuring authentic Irish cuisine and live music from Danny Burns and Aine O’Doherty while bidding on an array of exclusive items.
The golf classic is open to individuals and teams of four. Registration costs $125 per player or $500 per team. As an added bonus, each registered golfer will receive two tickets for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, the annual PGA TOUR stop in Las Vegas and part of the FedEx Cup regular season held at TPC Summerlin, October 14-20. Players and teams may register for Rí Rá Golf Classic by visiting www.rira.com and selecting Las Vegas. Hole sponsorships are also available and include one team registration per sponsorship.
