Heartland Grill Debuts At Stratosphere With Cowboy Chic Comfort Food

Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower unveils the grand opening of an original concept – a grill-restaurant in a sleek yet cozy “cowboy chic” atmosphere, McCall’s Heartland Grill. The restaurant offers fresh coastal seafood, hearty Midwestern-style steaks and an array of creative comfort food. It also features intimate booths, natural woods and stacked stone.

Stratosphere Executive Chef Rick Giffen said, “We took the best of the Midwest and added a touch of the coast. We put the thrill back into dining at a grill by combining traditional steak and seafood favorites with delicious new flavor combinations.” Giffen created the menu, theme concept and feel of McCall’s Heartland Grill alongside Matthew Mascali, Stratosphere Vice President of Food & Beverage.

Guests can start their meal with flavorful starters like the Blue Corn Crusted Lollipop Chicken Wings with a sweet and spicy Watermelon Buffalo Sauce and tangy Blue Cheese Dressing priced at $10, Braised Beef Short Rib Sliders served with a tart Green Apple Horseradish Slaw priced at $10, or a PB&J Crostini, a kicked up childhood favorite featuring a lightly toasted baguette slathered with creamy peanut butter, blue cheese, crispy bacon and a dollop of jalapeno jelly, priced at $8.

Hearty sized entrees features selections “From the Pasture”, made from 100% natural beef from Harris Ranch Cattle raised in Southern California. Pepper Crusted ½ lb. Filet of Beef served with McCall’s Smoked Cheddar Potato Croquettes and Sauce Poivre priced at $31, Coffee Rubbed Center Cut ¾ lb. New York Strip with creamy Blue Cheese Butter priced at $29, or the Grilled Choice 1lb. Porterhouse Steak with tender Caramelized Onions priced at $30. There are other available entrees including the Smoked Teriyaki Grilled Semi-Boneless Half Chicken served with Grilled Pineapple and Tempura Maui Onion priced at $19 and the Chili Roasted St. Louis Ribs with crispy Potato Straws and Cilantro Pesto priced at $23.

Entrees “From the Pond” include Potato Crusted Scottish Salmon with Citrus Chive Butter priced at $23, Blackened Hawaiian Ono served with Roasted Pineapple and Mango Salsa priced at $26 or Market Fresh Fish & Chips with Lime Dusted Sweet Potato Fries and Spiced Tarter Sauce priced at $19.

McCall’s traditional steakhouse sides come with a twist such as Lime Dusted Sweet Potato Fries, Creamed Spinach with Roasted Poblano Chilis, Wild Mushroom Cassolette with Horseradish Butter and Grilled Lobster Risotto Cake. Beef Tenderloin Chowder and Blackened Corn, priced at $9, round out the menu for the salads and homemade soups.

Guests will be delighted with the lunch specials including Rancher’s Grilled Porkloin Sandwich with Green Apple Horseradish Slaw priced at $13, Ground Chuck Steakburger with Smoked Cheddar and Bacon priced at $14, Chargrilled Steak Sandwich with Grilled Artichoke Hearts and Tobacco Onion Straws priced at $16 or a Grilled Lobster Cake Sandwich with Chili Tartar Sauce priced at $15.

McCall’s Heartland Grill features a wine nook, where dining guests can try the featured wine of the day. A full service bar and a wine list designed by Dean Wachstetter, Sommelier from Top Of The World. It also offers a 153-seat dining room which includes a private dining room for special occasions and intimate meetings and for parties of up to twenty guests.

Half price featured bottles of wine, mimosas for $2, and $3 well drinks, flutes of champagne and appetizer specials are served for the daily happy hour from 4pm to 6pm.
