Las Vegas has a worldwide reputation as a travel bargain. Cheap buffets, nickel slots, 99 cent shrimp cocktail -- you name it and the casinos are probably giving it away to get you in the door. Many of those travel programs make it look like you can come here with $5 and make it last because everything in Las Vegas is free.
The mistake many people make is to spend valuable vacation time going all over to save a $1 here, and a $1 there. A mistake? Your vacation time is valuable. You are spending hundreds of dollars (in not over a thousand) to get here and stay here. That translates to $5, $10, $15 or more per waking hour you are here! Plus, are the coupons you get ahead of time up-to-date?

Free Tourist Magazines. Sometimes coupons online can get outdated. Offers change. Restaurants, shows, and attractions open, change, or close. In most hotel rooms, you will find at least one tourist magazine and these are usually full of current coupons. If your room doesn't have any (most do), ask the front desk or check near the front desk area of other hotels.
Hotel Coupon Books. Many hotels offer great coupon books, and all you have to do is show your out-of-state identification! Ask at the front desk, the cashier's cage, or even one of the floor change people roaming about. If the hotel has a coupon book (many do), they will point you to it! Once again, you get updated coupons for the place you are at instead of chasing all over town to hotels you have no interest in.
