Las Vegas Gambling Tips: Video Slots – Million Dollar Pyramid

On The Town With Vegas Vic
By: Victor H. Royer

Welcome to Las Vegas! My name is Victor H. Royer, but everyone just calls me Vegas Vic. I was named after that famous neon sign in Downtown Las Vegas, that cowboy with the hat on top of the Pioneer Club, always waving his hand and beckoning to his long love, Sassy Sally, on the other side of the street. I will be writing a few articles for AccessVegas.com, so I hope you enjoy them.

Video Slots – Million Dollar Pyramid

In my book "Powerful Profits from Slots" I show you many of the greatest video slots machines now available, as well as many of the very newest. Some of these are already available in Las Vegas, while others will only begin to appear in other casinos. Maybe one of the casinos in your area has been able to already obtain these games, and if this is so, then you will have the opportunity to play some of the best and most fun slot machines yet created. Here are just a few that I have personally played, and found to be not only entertaining, but also often quite profitable.

Video slot machines are the way of the future. Actually, they are already the way of the present. This is all due to the fast expanding computer technology. With each passing month, it so seems, new and better computer chips are available. More memory, faster processors, bigger capacity, more available options. All of this allows the makers of video games to continue to be on the cutting edge of entertainment. IGT video game engineers are the pioneers in video slot machine games and technology.

Not so long ago, IGT was the first company which was able to actually place a video slot machine on the casino floor. Although there was resistance at the time, IGT game developers and marketing executives knew that the future was already here and that the video slot machine was going to be among the fastest and best growing products. Because of this foresight, and the head start which this allowed IGT to have, most of the video slot machines now in casinos are from IGT. In fact, the best games which are not only entertaining but also profitable to the slot player, have come from the IGT stables.

If you have never played a video slot machine before, I would certainly encourage you to find one of these IGT machine in your favorite casino on your next trip, or just look for any slot machine which displays the IGT logo. Many of my own jackpots have come precisely from these games, and other IGT games like them.

The Million Dollar Pyramid

This game is based on a popular television game show of a similar name. It is a five reel 9-line game with a maximum bet option of 90-coins per spin. Along with the many recognizable and popular prizes from the game show, this video slot machine features a chance for you to become an instant millionaire. The jackpot is paid instantly, upon verification of the correct win. When you hit the "double" symbol, which features the face of the TV show's host, your wins are doubled.

If you hit five of the diamond symbols, then you win the top jackpot for the reel game. When you hit three Winner's Circle Bonus symbols on reels one, two and three, correctly lined up in sequence on an active played payline, you will be transported to the bonus Pyramid round where you will get the chance to win the $1 million prize. This prize can be won only with maximum coins bet, however you will still be able to get bonus pays regardless of how many total coins you played, as long as you hit the correct sequence which launched you into this bonus round.

Once you enter the bonus round, the game show's host will guide you through the rest of the game. Simply put, you will see a pyramid with a lot of blue blocks. You will be asked to pick seven of these blocks. This you do by touching each one, one at a time, by placing your finger on the screen over the blue block which you wish to select. When you select a block, it will turn over and reveal either a bonus amount by displaying a figure with the number of credits you have won, or it will reveal an icon which symbolizes the golden pyramid. This continues for as long as you have selections to make. When you have made the final, seventh, selection, the bonus round is over and your wins will be awarded.

Depending on how many pyramids you have uncovered along with any numerically shown credit amounts won, the game will award you a multiple win. To win the top $1 million jackpot, three things must happen. First, you must wager the maximum coins. Second, you must hit the required Winner's Circle Bonus symbols to gain access to the pyramid bonus round. Third, you will have to pick all seven golden pyramids. If you do, then you are an instant millionaire.

One thing I really like about this machine is that after you have completed selecting all your bonus round pyramid blocks, the game will actually turn over all the remaining golden pyramids so that you can see where they all were. This will let you see how close you came to being an instant millionaire! It's a really fun game to play.
