Mindy Drake is among a very elite group who left "Crazy Girls" and returned to perform after they find out the proverbial saying "the grass is greener on the other side" isn't true.
The only "Crazy Girl" who was born and raised in Las Vegas and still lives at home with her parents attends UNLV to pursue her degree in psychology. At a perfect 5'6" and 115 pounds she's svelte on stage with blonde hair and hazel eyes. The professional dancer refers to herself as a "showgirl." She is a graduate of Durango High School and her GPA was over 3.0.
Mindy has lived in the same house for her entire life and never had to change schools in Southwest Las Vegas. She said, "I appeared with Carmen Electra in 'Living Large' a few years ago."
Asked what made her unique? She replied, "I'm not unique. My friends and I are all pretty much the same type of people. My mom nicknamed me "Mindy Moo."
She spoke about her taste in film saying, "I've viewed the movie 'Pretty Woman' the most. I wake up and have tea, toast and grapefruit every morning. The last book I read was 'Memory Keepers Daughter.' My proudest accomplishment is my dance career."
She continued, "My friends describe me as funny, silly and loyal. My favorite musical artist is Fiona Apple. My mom is my biggest hero. My guilty pleasure is a Grape Mister Mist Float at Dairy Queen."
Comedian-Magician Tony Douglas (www.tonydouglasmagic.com) host and is the special guest star in "Crazy Girls."
The show's time for "Crazy Girls" is at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday thru Monday nights. The Crazy Girls Showroom is dark on Tuesdays.
