Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino celebrates its year anniversary since evolving into Las Vegas' ultimate shopping and entertainment destination.
Once known as The Shops in Desert Passage, Miracle Mile Shops has come a long way since its Arabian-themed origin. In May 2007, the shopping destination adopted a contemporary design and became Miracle Mile Shops. At the 50-yard line of the famed Las Vegas Strip, the center now features streamlined and modernized storefronts, people movers, a backlit sidewalk water feature, crystal chandeliers, contemporary, color-coded kiosks as well as 170 specialty stores, 15 restaurants and live entertainment.
"Miracle Mile Shops has undergone electrifying renovations over the past year," said Miracle Mile Shops co-owner, David Edelstein. "Thanks to a continued influx of new tenants and further modernization to the center's interior, Miracle Mile Shops is sure to stay on the cutting edge of the Las Vegas entertainment and shopping pulse for years to come."
Miracle Mile Shops' transformation has helped bring in many new retail giants to the center including Marciano, Quiksilver, Frederick's of Hollywood, Urban Outfitters and Metropark. During the past year, both True Religion Brand Jeans and H&M opened their first Las Vegas outposts inside Miracle Mile Shops. The center is the only place in Las Vegas visitors can shop in Ben Sherman, enjoy a Mai Tai on Trader Vic's Strip-side patio and sample the creations of Chef David Burke at Hawaiian Tropic Zone.
Miracle Mile Shops' transformation has not gone unnoticed. Named one of Las Vegas' "Top 10 New Restaurants" by Citysearch, Hawaiian Tropic Zone boasts a sexy modern décor, alluring dining room, mouth-watering menu items, cat-walk stage for nightly entertainment, largest video wall in Las Vegas, cabaret dancers, full bar, water wall entrance, strip-side patio and live DJ appearing nightly. Several of the center's restaurants and nightclubs including Trader Vic's, Lombardi's Romagna Mia, Pampas Churrascaria, Triq Ultra Lounge and KRAVE nightclub were recently acknowledged in Zagat's "Best of Las Vegas 2008" guide.
Guests in need of a break from Miracle Mile Shops' 1.2-miles of shopping can choose from the center's long list of shows and variety acts. V-Theater allows visitors to enjoy comedians, jugglers, acrobats, death-defying stunts, magicians and musical performances all in one location. V-Theater's shows captivate both tourists and locals, offering something for everyone including Popovich – Comedy Pet Theater, the vocal stylings of Toxic Audio and V – The Ultimate Variety Show. In true Vegas style, Miracle Mile Shops houses a multi-sensory laser show, customer service "ambassadors" on Segways, a live rainstorm and state-of-the-art LED video screens.
The center's multi-million dollar renovation project will continue into 2008. In addition to bringing in even more exciting tenants, future projects include a modern take on the highly popular rainstorm feature, sleek and contemporary flooring throughout the entire mall, modernized ceilings and a state-of-the-art indoor fountain show.
