Marva Scott is once again lighting up the stage at the Imperial Palace with her tribute to The Supremes and, Ms. Diana Ross, in "Legends in Concert."

Having logged more hours on a Las Vegas stage than most of her contemporaries, Ms. Scott possesses an unusual and passionate commitment to her craft seldom seen today. She is a performance artist with the ability to change her persona depending on who she is portraying: be it Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Tina Turner, Gladys Knight or an uncanny Whoopi Goldberg. Ms Scott also enrolled in The Strasburg Institute in New York to further her acting career, and studied voice with Seth Riggs in Los Angeles.

"As an actress I like doing Legends and similar shows because they offer a smorgasborg of characters to explore," she said. "My favorite tribute is the person I'm doing at that time," Ms. Scott replied, when asked who her favorite impression is. "I'm enjoying the role of "Diana'"

The many facets of the legendary entertainer makes Marva's job a very interesting one. "I get the benefit of instant feedback from a live audience," she added. "It's also a lot of fun to meet with the members of the audience after the show and observe their reactions. I gain a perspective that feeds the development of the character or characters that I'm saluting."

Her one hour show, "An Evening with Diana Ross starring Marva Scott" has received rave reviews from Orlando, Florida to New Orleans and Las Vegas.

At one time during a remarkable career, Marva decided Europe and especially Paris would be her next stop. She spent 10 months in Paris as featured singer at the popular nitery, Aux Trois Malletz, where she caught the eye of an American producer from Atlantic City.  Marva was quickly booked her into a revue at Caesars Palace.

In the last few years Marva has starred as featured singer in various revues in Reno, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and most recently spent four months in Branson, Mo. for Legends in Concert, where she performed her celebrity tribute to Disco Diva, Donna Summer.  When not working in Las Vegas for "Legends," Ms. Scott performs exclusively for Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Marva Scott, along with other impressionists perform twice nightly in the Imperial Palace Theater at 7:30 and 10:00 p.m., with the showroom closed Sunday.
