The longest-running and most successful Broadway musical to hit The Las Vegas Strip, MAMMA MIA!, adds four new, talented principals from film, television and the stage to the Las Vegas cast on July 30, 2007. Recently celebrating its fourth anniversary in Las Vegas and still receiving rave reviews, MAMMA MIA! is fun, energetic and makes "you feel like you're part of the event"- Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Mamma Mia! Tickets Actress Libby Winters, joins MAMMA MIA! in the lead role of Sophie Sheridan, the bride-to-be. With experience in film, television and stage including "The Like Girl," "Champs" and the New York musical White Noise, Winters brings new life to the show. Directly from the Broadway company of Beauty and the Beast, Rob Sutton joins the cast of MAMMA MIA! as Sam Carmichael, the American architect. Sutton's recent credits include Off-Broadway's The Ark and regional performances in Camelot and Oklahoma! Gracing the stage as Bill Austin, the Australian traveller, Ron McClary comes to Las Vegas from New York City where he starred in Summer '69: The Musical and The Lightning Field. McClary's regional credits include Romeo and Juliet and The Tempest along with television appearances on "Law and Order" and "Ed." Joining Sutton and McClary is T. Scott Cunningham as Harry Bright, the British banker, with experience ranging from Broadway, film, television, and national tours. His credits include Broadway's Love! Valour! Compassion!, Design for Living and Tartuffe as well as television appearances on "Law and Order" and the role of Ryan in the major motion picture "Serendipity." Seen by over 30 million people worldwide, and with three companies currently playing in North America, MAMMA MIA! has more productions playing around the world than any other current Broadway musical. The phenomenon that Liz Smith calls "The most popular musical in the world!," has surpassed a gross of $2 Billion in worldwide box office sales. Inspired by the story-telling magic of Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus' songs, writer Catherine Johnson's sunny, funny tale of family and friendship unfolds on a Greek island. Songs including "Dancing Queen"; "The Winner Takes It All"; "Money, Money, Money" and "Take A Chance on Me" are all featured in this feel-good night of fun and laughter. With music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, MAMMA MIA! is written by Catherine Johnson and directed by Phyllida Lloyd. MAMMA MIA! has choreography by Anthony Van Laast, production design by Mark Thompson, lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch. MAMMA MIA! is produced by Judy Craymer, Richard East and Björn Ulvaeus for Littlestar in association with Universal. MAMMA MIA! is playing currently in 11 productions around the world performed in seven different languages.
