The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino will host a month-long poker series June 6 – July 6, 2008 in their newest events center, The Grand.

The Grand Poker Series, at the classic Las Vegas casino on the Fremont Street Experience, will feature daily tournaments on more than 50 tables, and will host 24/7 cash games, sit & go satellites and much more, including special tournaments for seniors and ladies, as well as three bracelet events.

Registration for all events is now open, and seats can be secured by contacting or stopping by the Golden Nugget Poker Room. A complete schedule of events is available by visiting our website at www.goldennugget.com.

The Grand Poker Series will kick off June 6 with a charity celebrity poker tournament hosted by Montel Williams to benefit his Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Entitled Cards, Celebrities and a Cause - A Montel Williams Poker Tournament benefiting MS, this charity tournament is open to the public and will help generate funds to benefit MS awareness and research. For this tournament, half of the $1,000 per-person prize pool will benefit the Montel Williams MS Foundation, while the other half will be distributed to winning tournament players. Starting March 1, the Golden Nugget Poker Room will host 24/7 Sit & Go Satellite Tournaments, where players can win their seat in this charity event.

Buy-ins for the Golden Nugget Las Vegas' Grand Poker Series start at $225 and added nightly tournaments will start at $125. For our final table, the "Grand Finale" main event, the champion will take home our coveted bracelet along with the cash award.

For more information or to register for The Grand Poker Series or the charity tournament, please call John Colville, poker manager, at 702-386-8164 or e-mail at jcolville@goldennugget.com.
