Cannery Casino Resorts topped-off its Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel today at the Nevada Palace Casino & Hotel site located near Boulder Highway and Harmon Avenue.  The topping-off commenced with a Christmas tree hoisted to the top of the building.

"Eastside Cannery is an exceptional addition to Cannery Casino Resorts," said company co-founder Bill Wortman. "We feel the Eastside Cannery will be a great asset to the Boulder Highway gaming market."

The new Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel will be the latest addition to the Cannery Casino Resorts family and will have 65,000 square feet of casino space that will house 2,000 slot machines, 26 table games, a 400-seat bingo hall, a live keno lounge, a first-class poker room and a top-of-the-line race & sports book.

In addition to the casino, the Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel will have various amenities that are sure to draw locals and tourists to the property. There will be 307 hotel rooms, five restaurants, an ultra-lounge atop the 16 story hotel tower, three bars, an upscale live entertainment lounge, resort spa, Jacuzzi and a half-acre pool area complete with cabanas.  For meeting planners, the Eastside Cannery will have 20,000 square feet of ballroom and meeting space to service a variety of meeting and convention needs.

Cannery Casino Resorts continues its long-time relationship with Klai Juba Architects to create Eastside Cannery. The inspiration of the design comes from buildings of the industrial age of the early 20th Century. The most prominent feature to the property will be a bronze hotel tower that will have heavy steel structural and decorative elements, which will have a saw tooth roofline reminiscent of buildings of that era. There will be an abundance of visual references to the burgeoning industrial era with the use of brick and steel in various aspects along with cross-braced steel facades and heavy steel open trusses. The successful 40's theme of Cannery Casino & Hotel in North Las Vegas will evolve into an early-60's theme at the new Eastside Cannery.
