A couple of years ago Lance added some new mind-boggling illusions to wow audiences from their senses from 0 to 60 in a flash. Not only our his hands faster than a camera but his new creative illusion are so baffling that a network from Germany filmed and aired a TV special called: "Lance Burton: The Greatest Magician on Planet Earth." He recently appeared on "THE VIEW" and David Letterman.

Lance Burton's "Master Magician" has been voted the No. 1 family show on The Las Vegas Strip where you can take the children and grandma along with granddad. His affinity for children is brought out when he brings them up on stage for some magic fun.

At age 5, Lance Burton's mother Hilma Burton who worked at the Frito-Lay plant in Louisville thought he should have a special birthday party and solicited a magician named Harry Collins who she had worked with in the middle class suburbs of Louisville. This was proof that the "The American Dream" is alive and well.  When Magician Collins pulled silver dollars from Lance's ears he was so impressed that it triggered a lifetime career. Someone fueled the fire by giving him the book "Magic Made Easy."

Lance Burton was the first American to win "Best Magician" which is the Gold Medal of magic when he went to Lausanne, Switzerland to compete against other world-class magicians in the Society of International Magicians. He packed up his tricks and drove and 1970 yellow Plymouth Duster and headed west to California to be near Hollywood where The Magic Castle is located. He was invited by Milt Larsen to perform at the annual "It's Magic" live show in 1981 and was discovered by talent agents.

Lance was allowed to perform his 12-minute doves-to-candles sleight-of-hand act by Johnny Carson who personally viewed it. Lance was a hit on the "The Tonight Show."

Next, the world famous and longest running show in Las Vegas, the "Follies Bergere" contacted Lance Burton to do the same act at their hotel for a few weeks and it turned into 9-1/2 years. Lance didn't get a day off for two years. During the two-week vacations, Lance was performing at Lake Tahoe doing the act twice nightly again.

Lance Burton wanted his own showroom and in 1991 he opened a magic show that ran six nights a week and two shows a night. About four years later, Lance was contacted by four business partners and offered a 13-year contract with a theatre named after him and designed for him. This was the longest running contract in Vegas' history.

On June 21 he will celebrate his 12th anniversary at The Lance Burton Theatre at the Monte Carlo. He now also sells "Magic Made Easy" DVDs from his magic shop.

He's known for his philanthropy in Las Vegas giving hit time and money to The Shriners, The Variety Club, Make-A-Wish and Opportunity Village among others.

If you haven't seen his new show in the last two years treat yourself.
