A host of local and nationally known musicians are coming out in full force for "Rockin' for a Broken Heart," a benefit concert to support local rock 'n roll drummer Kirk Arthur.  The concert will be held at The Club inside the Cannery Casino & Hotel on Sunday, August 26 with doors opening at 3:00pm and the concert kicking off at 4:00pm.


A suggested donation of $20.00 can be made at the door of The Club on the day of the show.


Kirk Arthur is considered "a drummer's drummer" who has played with some of the biggest superstars in rock history.  In June, Arthur suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized for a month. Unfortunately, Arthur does not have health insurance and the benefit concert is being held to raise money for his hospital and doctor bills. 


A host of popular entertainers are coming out to support Arthur in his time of need. Scheduled to perform are Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon, The Checkmates, Duncan Faure, The Coasters, The Drifters, The Platters, Bobby Brooks, Jeneane Marie, The Brad Cordle Band, Michael Grimm Band, Lonnie Clark and Section 8.
