Rock singer/electric violinist phenomenon Antonio Pontarelli has been added as the opening act for the rock extravaganza line-up with Vince Neil, Slaughter and Quiet Riot on Saturday, September 1 at 7 p.m. at the Henderson Pavilion located at 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.

Tickets are $30, $40 and $50, plus tax, and can be purchased at the Henderson Pavilion Box office located at 200 S. Green Valley Parkway, by calling 702-267-4TIX(4849) or online at www.hendersonlive.com. Credit cards are accepted for all orders.

Pontarelli's unique style of violin mixes classic, modern and progressive rock. Currently, he is performing with his band and busy recording a debut album of original material focused on alternative rock. Pontarelli recently appeared on System of A Down lead singer Serj Tankian's solo album and performed on stage with Jethro Tull, Seal and Kenny G.

Born in 1991, Pontarelli started playing the violin at age three and was winning competitions by age seven. Classically trained, he started composing for television at the age of 11. After winning a number of national and international awards, Pontarelli gained national attention when he won the grand championship on NBC's PAX TV's "America's Most Talented Kids" competition.

"Pontarelli is now touring the country with his band, and their shows are nothing less than polished and very exciting," said Bud Pico, City of Henderson Cultural Arts and Tourism Program Manager. "He may be just a teenager, but Pontarelli's virtuosity on violin is already drawing comparisons to a young Jimi Hendrix. This young musician is going to be big."
