Fresh from a well-needed break, The Used is back with a powerful new album complete with the honesty and emotion fans have come to admire. The Used is set to perform at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort Sunday, October 7, 2007, at 7 p.m. with special guests The Bled, Army of Me and Josephine Collective.
The Used Tickets Fans have eagerly awaited the newest release from The Used, Lies for the Liars, and following several release date postponements, May 2007 brought fans a brand new album. The release is full of the band's pop punk undertones, mixed with some experimental sounds – toying with violins and electronic beats for a musically diverse release. The Used have sold in excess of 3 million albums worldwide and have headlined The Rockstar Taste of Chaos Arena Tour as well as the Van's Warped Tour. For the new album, the band wrote and demoed 40 songs before whittling down to the final 11 tracks. A great deal of material was devised from front man Bert McCracken's experience living in the City of Angels – a city that can be both glamorous and gritty at the same time. The result is an album both fans and critics seem to have embraced. The Used's six-year career began with the release of their self-titled album in 2002; just one year following the formation of the band. The initial release featured hits like "The Taste of Ink" and "Box of Sharp Objects" and The Used quickly became favorites of the punk crowds playing on the second stage of The Van's Warped Tour. While compiling their second studio release, In Love and Death (2004), the band released a live album CD/DVD combo Maybe Memories (2003). The U.S. tour in support of Lies for the Liars kicks off in early fall. The Used Tickets Palms Casino Resort |
