Six-time Grammy award winner Mary J. Blige will showcase her talents at The Pearl Concert Theater on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 8:00 p.m.

Mary J. Blige made her debut in 1992 with What's the 411? which demonstrated her unique blend of R&B and rap. The album produced the R&B chart-topping singles, "You Remind Me" and "Real Love" and sold more than 3 million copies. Her 1995 follow-up, My Life, was filled with songs that expressed her personal pathos such as, "I'm Going Down" and "My Life." Her third album, Share My World was another hit for Blige, debuting at number one on the Billboard charts.


Through the next few years, Blige continued to redefine R&B with hits like, "Deep Inside," "Family Affair" and "No More Drama." In 2006 Blige released The Breakthrough, which exemplified her growth as an artist and spawned the hits "Be Without You," "One" and "Take Me As I Am." Her latest release, Growing Pains, was released at the end of 2007 and went straight to number one on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop chart.
