Legendary Latin artist Juan Gabriel, one of Mexico's top singers and songwriters, will appear at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Friday,

Nov. 2 in celebration of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The show is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m.
Gabriel has sold more than 100 million albums and performed sold-out concerts throughout the world. In addition to recording numerous hits on his own, Gabriel has produced albums for Rocio Durcal, Lucha Villa, Lola Beltran as well as Paul Anka. His songs have been covered by a lengthy list of Latin artists including Durcal, Ana Gabriel, Isabel Pantoja, Raúl Di Blasio, Marc Anthony and Son del Son. Son del Son released two albums comprised entirely of Gabriel material, Costumbres and Son de Juan.
Gabriel was the recipient of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Songwriter of the Year Award in 1995. He also was inducted into the Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame the following year.
The MGM Grand Garden Arena is home to concerts, championship boxing and premier sporting and special events. The Arena offers comfortable seating for as many as 16,800 with excellent sightlines and state-of-the-art acoustics, lighting and sound. Prominent events to date have included world championship fights between Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson as well as Oscar De La Hoya vs. Floyd Mayweather and George Foreman vs. Michael Moorer; and concerts by The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Bette Midler, Gloria Estefan, Janet Jackson, Phil Collins, Billy Joel, Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, Sting, Jimmy Buffett and the Barbra Streisand Millennium Concert. The MGM Grand Garden Arena is also home to the annual Andre Agassi Grand Slam for Children Benefit and the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMA).
