Pop music icon Janet Jackson returns to the touring circuit for the first time in seven years when she kicks off her "Rock Witchu Tour" September 10 in Vancouver, British Columbia.  The tour will land at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Friday, Sept. 19 and the concert is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

The tour will feature the hit songs and innovative dance routines that have made Jackson one of the most celebrated artists in history.  She has undeniably influenced pop culture with more than 100 million albums sold as well as countless hit singles, awards and accolades.  Jackson has left an indelible mark on pop music as a female artist, having reached the No. 1 spot on Billboard Magazine's Top 200 Album Chart six times.  She is one of only three female musicians who have achieved this accomplishment.


Jackson is the only performer, male or female, to be nominated for Grammy's in each of the Pop, Rock, Dance, Rap and R & B categories, and also is the first female recording artist of color to be nominated for a Producer of the Year Grammy.  With literally hundreds of awards and nominations from the American Music Awards, where she holds the title for most nominations from one album, to the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, Radio Music Awards and World Music Awards, the recognitions of her musical contributions are astounding.


In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jackson said that she hopes to perform every single she has ever released on her upcoming "Rock Witchu Tour."
