The Lili Claire Foundation announced today that the pop rock band Goo Goo Dolls will headline the charity's 6th Annual Benefit Dinner and Concert sponsored by Colliers International and Links for Life Foundation Saturday, April 26 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.  Josh Kelley and Sugar Ray will open for the Goo Goo Dolls.

The Lili Claire Foundation Benefit Dinner will begin with a VIP cocktail reception and silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by a dinner program and live auction at 7 p.m.  The concert is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.

This is the sixth annual benefit for the Lili Claire Foundation, a local non-profit organization that provides diagnostic and supportive services for children with neuro-developmental conditions, free of charge. All of the funds raised at the event will benefit children at the family resource center in Las Vegas and the forthcoming satellite office in Reno.

Since forming in 1986, the Goo Goo Dolls have evolved from a punk-influenced trio into a platinum-selling, chart-topping act.  Founding members John Rzeznik and Robby Takac, both from Buffalo, N.Y., joined Mike Malinin to create hits such as "Slide," "Black Balloon" and "Iris."  Their song "Better Days," from the album Let Love In, expressed such power and empathy that it was adopted by CNN as an anthem for the recovery efforts following Hurricane Katrina.  The respectable rockers, who are unafraid to wear their hearts on their sleeves, are now reaching out to help children with neuro-developmental conditions in Nevada.

Singer and songwriter Josh Kelley, whose most recent album Special Company was released in February, will open for the Goo Goo Dolls. With a sound similar to James Taylor, the talented singer plays 14 different instruments and recently married his girlfriend, "Grey's Anatomy" star Katherine Heigl.

Also opening for the Goo Goo Dolls is longtime Lili Claire supporter Sugar Ray. The rock band was a big hit at their surprise performance at the Lili Claire Foundation's 2006 benefit. Sugar Ray most recently contributed to the "Surf's Up" movie soundtrack with "Into Yesterday." The charismatic and personable lead singer, Mark McGrath hosts the television entertainment show "Extra."

The Goo Goo Dolls, Josh Kelley and Sugar Ray will be joined by numerous celebrities and Honorary Dinner Chairman William J. Hornbuckle IV, president and COO for Mandalay Bay.  Together they will honor International Game Technology and Vice President of Marketing Ed Rogich with the Spirit of Leadership Award; Colliers International and Senior Managing Partner Vic Donovan will receive the Beacon of Hope Award; and Sunbelt Communications Company and President/Chief Operating Officer Ralph Toddre, who will receive the Compassionate Care Award.

Previous stars and honorees who have illustrated support for The Lili Claire Foundation and its numerous events include:  Jason Alexander, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox Arquette, Lance Bass, Pat Benatar, Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom, Danny Bonaduce, Kate Bosworth, Adam Brody, Amanda Bynes, Vanessa Carlton, Jon Cryer, Jermaine Dupri, Anthony Edwards, Shannon Elizabeth, America Ferrera, Jennie Garth, Seth Green, David Alan Grier, Janet Jackson, Lisa Kudrow, Cyndi Lauper, Avril Lavigne, Lucy Liu, Nia Long, Brian McKnight, Amanda Peet, Leah Remini, Ryan Seacrest, Charlie Sheen, Tori Spelling, Aisha Tyler, and Bradley Whitford.

The Lili Claire Foundation was established to enhance the lives of children living with Williams Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Autism and other neuro-developmental conditions. The Lili Claire Foundation's Danny Gans Family Resource Center in Las Vegas provides intensive, supportive and comprehensive services to meet the complex needs of individuals living with neuro-developmental conditions and their families all free of charge.  For more information on the Lili Claire Foundation contact Jennifer Bradley at 702-862-8141 or jbradley@liliclairefoundation.org.
