Sugarland exploded onto the country music scene in 2004 with the multi-platinum-selling album, Twice The Speed Of Life, which gave birth to mega hits "Baby Girl" and "Something More." Their current album, Enjoy the Ride has already sold more than one million albums and spawned two No. 1 hits, "Want To" and "Settlin'." Sugarland has received one Grammy nomination, an American Music Award for "Breakthrough Favorite New Artist," an Academy of Country Music (ACM) Award for "New Duo/Group of the Year," two CMT Awards and four additional nominations, as well as three Country Music Association nominations. Jennifer Nettles picked up a Grammy in 2007 for her collaboration with Bon Jovi on the song, "Who Says You Can't Go Home."
Little Big Town is one of the biggest success stories of the year which began with the release of their platinum plus debut album, The Road To Here, for the Equity Music Group. The album received critical acclaim, commercial success and awards including a nod as the ACM's Top New Vocal Group this year. The album also generated the band's first two Grammy nominations. Billboard Magazine named the group The Independent Artist of 2006, and their album The Independent Album of 2006. The group has toured with some of the biggest names in music including Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride and John Mellencamp, who was so pleased with the band's turn as his opening act that he asked them to perform on his new album, Freedom's Road, released earlier this year. Little Big Town is scheduled to release its second album for Equity in November 2007.
RCA recording artist Jake Owen burst onto the country music scene last year with his debut album Startin' With Me. In less than a year, Owen has celebrated a Top 15 hit with his debut single "Yee Haw" and a Top 10 with his current single "Startin' With Me." He also made his national TV debut on ABC's "Good Morning America" and has toured with Chesney, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Currently, Owen is the opening act for the 2007 Alan Jackson/Brooks & Dunn Tour.
