Avril Lavigne returns to the Palms Casino resort to perform during her The Best Damn Tour at The Pearl Concert Theater on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Special guests Boys Like Girls also return to the Palms after a performance poolside during the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.

Lavigne, after stopping in Las Vegas around the time of her last release, The Best Damn Thing (2007), plans a return during The Best Damn Tour for 2008. Lavigne has grown as an artist since her first release Let Go (2002) – fans still recognize her pop-punk sounds, but Lavigne has moved away from some of her slower ballads and has found enjoyment in the more upbeat, guitar-laden rocker tunes. Her debut album sold more than 16 million copies thanks to singles including "Sk8ter Boi" and "Complicated." Her sophomore album, Under My Skin, was equally as successful entering the U.S., Canadian and U.K. charts at #1 and featured the hit single "My Happy Ending" which received extensive radio play.
The latest effort by Lavigne allowed her to hit a more expansive fan base spread from teens to young adults, and Lavigne proves to be an artist that can continue to grow while keeping true to her craft.
Presented by Andrew Hewitt and Live Nation. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and show time is 7 p.m. The Pearl is home to the Miller Lite concert series.
