As the first vocal artist to sign with Epic Records, Orlando began scoring on the national charts at the age of 16 and with hits such as "Halfway to Paradise" and "Bless You." After a career detour as a music company executive, Orlando returned to recording to score a number one hit with "Candida." Originally performing under the name Dawn, Orlando would eventually partner with Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent Wilson who together would become the international recording sensation Tony Orlando and Dawn.
The trio went on to record such chart toping hits as "Knock Three Times," "He Don't Love You (Like I Love You)," and "Tie a Yellow Ribbon ‘Round the Ole Oak Tree," which has turned into a timeless classic for our troops returning home. Tony Orlando and Dawn also starred in the popular weekly variety series "Tony Orlando and Dawn Rainbow Hour" on CBS.
Orlando has received three American Music Awards® and a People's Choice Award®. For his outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry, Orlando was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1990. He continues a very busy performance schedule, both on tour and in his new hometown of Branson, MO where he performs, writes and produces shows.
An actor and a comedian, Sammy Shore worked alongside some of the world's greatest musicians including Sammy Davis, Jr., Tony Bennett and Bob Hope. In 1969, Elvis Presley caught Shore's act and insisted that Shore open for him. This began a five-year run as Elvis' opening act. Shore also founded Los Angeles' popular Comedy Store and opened for his son, comedian Pauly Shore, on a national comedy tour.
