Newton has been entertaining audiences worldwide for more than 60 years having started at the age of four years old.  After several appearances on ABC's popular hit series "Dancing with the Stars," Newton returns to MGM Grand to perform alongside a 22-piece orchestra.  His show will feature a wide array of music including country, big band, R&B and rock.  The multi-talented entertainer sings, tells jokes and interacts with the audience in true Las Vegas style.

"MGM Grand is thrilled to welcome back one of the most iconic entertainers to have ever graced Las Vegas," said Richard Sturm, president and COO of MGM MIRAGE Entertainment and Sports.  "Wayne Newton's performances are considered the best in Las Vegas, and he will no doubt solidify our already tremendous line-up in the Hollywood Theater."

Newton was a natural musician from the very beginning.  After learning to play piano and guitar by ear at the age of six, Newton spent most of his formative years performing in various talent shows and on numerous local radio and television shows.  His mastery of 13 musical instruments, along with incomparable showmanship, has earned him numerous entertainment awards.  At the age of 15, Newton was spotted by a booking agent on a local Phoenix television show and invited to audition for a job at the Fremont Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.  Newton landed the gig and has been a part of the fabric of Las Vegas ever since.

The legendary artist has had numerous hit songs including "Heart," "Danke Schoen," "Red Roses for a Blue Lady," "Summer Wind," "She Believes in Me," "While the Feelings Good," and "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast."  His film credits include roles in movies such as "Vegas Vacation," "Ford Fairlane" and "License to Kill."
