To mark the opening of the Polynesian-themed Trader Vic's restaurant, famed illusionist, Hans Klok, performed a magical welcoming gesture.

With the aid of his beautiful divas, the world's fastest magician conjured a tiki as part of his renowned fire-spikes illusion.  The hand-carved tiki stands 6-feet tall by 3-feet wide and was unveiled on stage at the Planet Hollywood Theatre for the Performing Arts.

Trader Vic's Las Vegas opened October 13 and is located in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, the same entertainment complex where Hans Klok performs.  The 15,000 sq. ft. restaurant and lounge features modern and traditional Asian/Polynesian dining with an outdoor party patio overlooking the famed-Las Vegas Strip and a second-floor ultralounge.

"Hans Klok? The Beauty of Magic" is the largest magic spectacular in Las Vegas and teams up Hans Klok, the international sensation, with superstar Pamela Anderson. Hans has dazzled thousands with thrilling illusions old and new from classic Houdini escape tricks to the death defying thrills of the Fire Spikes to the awe-inspiring levitation of Pamela more than 30 feet in the air. This larger than life magic show includes over 40 illusions and an international cast of 20 beautiful dancers.

*In the mythology of some Polynesian peoples, Tiki was the first man on earth.  There are several versions of the Tiki's story, but according to the Maori, the god Tumatauenga created him.  One day, Tiki saw a woman, Marikriko, swimming in a lake and was overcome by her beauty.  Marikoriko seduced Tiki and the two eventually married.  The traditional Tiki is today regarded as a symbol of good luck and fertility.  Trader Vic's is regarded as a symbol of good food, good fun and a laid-back tropical atmosphere.

* In deference to Polynesian cultures, the tiki created for this event is only representative of authentic tikis and does not accurately depict any actual cultural symbol.  We saw that Brady Bunch episode and we're not about to mess around with the mojo of the Tiki. D'uh.
