Now celebrating its 16th anniversary, the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge, benefiting adoption, is the only professional golf tournament that pits three players from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours against each other in a head-to-head competition for tour bragging rights and a share of the $1 million dollar purse.

WHAT: CHAMPIONS TOUR TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT

FRED FUNK / JAY HAAS / NICK PRICE

Fred Funk is one of the most recognizable names and personalities in golf. He has recorded 10 victories, eight PGA TOUR and two Champions Tour, in a professional career that has spanned 20 years. Funk became eligible to participate on the Champions Tour in July of 2006 and finished tied for 11th place in his first event that same month at the U.S. Senior Open. Three months and two starts later he recorded his first victory at the AT&T Championship. He continues to play, and win, on both Tours. Through 22 events entered on the PGA TOUR in 2007 he has recorded two top-10 finishes, including his eighth-career victory at the Mayakoba Golf Classic. With the win he became the fifth oldest champion in PGA TOUR history and the oldest since 1975. Funk has played in six Champions Tour events so far in 2007; posting three top-10 finishes and recording his second-career victory, a record setting 11 stroke win at the Turtle Bay Championship. He has been a member of two President's Cup teams (2003 and 2005) and one Ryder Cup team (2004). This will be Funk's first Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge appearance.

Jay Haas will be making his fourth consecutive appearance at the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge. He was a member of the 2006 and victorious 2005 Champions Tour team and joined Fred Couples and John Daly on the PGA TOUR team in 2004. Haas has been a model of consistency over his more than 30-year professional career, recording nine PGA TOUR victories while never losing his TOUR Card. Since becoming a member of the Champions Tour in 2005, Haas has missed only one cut in 57 starts and recorded 10 victories. In 2006 he won four times, including his first Major at the Senior PGA Championship. Competing in his first full Champions Tour season in 2007 he has so far added four more wins to his resume. On strength of his four victories and 17 top-10 finishes Hass is currently ranked No. 1 on the Champions Tour money list and in Charles Schwab Cup Points. He has been a member of three Ryder Cup teams (1983, 1995 and 2004) and two Presidents Cup teams (1994 and 2003) and received the Bob Jones Award from the U.S.G.A. in 2006, the highest honor given by the U.S.G.A. in recognition of distinguished sportsmanship in golf.

Nick Price is a world-wide golf icon who has recorded 18 PGA TOUR and 24 international victories since turning professional in 1977. He has won three major championships (1992 and 1994 PGA Championships and the 1994 British Open Championship) and was the PGA TOUR Player of the Year and leading money winner in 1993 and 1994. Price was inducted into the World Golf Hall of fame in 2003 and in 2005 received the Bob Jones Award from the U.S.G.A., the highest honor given by the U.S.G.A. in recognition of distinguished sportsmanship in golf. He has been a member of five Presidents Cup teams (1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, and 2003). As a rookie on the Champions Tour in 2007 Price has recorded three top-10 finishes in 14 events, including a third place finish at the U.S. Senior Open. Price will be competing in his first Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge this November at Reflection Bay Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas Resort in Henderson, Nevada.
