Longtime Las Vegas entertainer Dave Swan will be honored with a fundraiser sponsored by The CAST, a non-profit organization created to assist veteran entertainers in need, on Nov. 3 at the Imperial Palace at 2:00 p.m, doors open at 1:30 p.m. Swan, who has donated much of his time over the years to help others, is now facing a health condition that leaves him unable to perform. Local singers, actors and comedians will unite to celebrate the career of the 30-year Las Vegas performer with proceeds from ticket sales going toward Swan's medical care.
A lineup of distinguished Las Vegas performers and friends of Swan are scheduled to appear, including Pete Barbutti, Cork Proctor, Peter Anthony, Tony Sacca, Corrie Sachs, Jason Byrne, Jazz Dolls, Tony Davich, Robin Berry, Legends In Concert and much more. The entertainers will be backed by the Michael T. Orchestra.
Swan performed for 9 years at the Imperial Palace where he opened for many prominent showroom headliners. He also opened the Palace's popular impersonator show "Legends in Concert" in which he was the opening act for the first 6 years.
During the past 17 years, Swan starred in two long-running Las Vegas shows, including the role of King Arthur in the "Tournament of Kings" at the Excalibur and the comedy star in "Viva Las Vegas" originally at the Sands and later on at the Stratosphere. Swan has also worked at the Sahara, the Aladdin and many other major showrooms on the Las Vegas Strip.
Organizing the event is The CAST, a 501c3 non-profit organization, standing for The Caring for Artists, Show Business and Technicians. Founded more than five years ago by Las Vegas legendary performers and currently led by Tony Sacca, The CAST is about "Entertainers Helping Entertainers."
