Keeping the showgirl going long after the curtain closes, the divine Colosseum boutique allows fans to take home a piece of Miss M's Vegas extravaganza, at prices to fit any budget.
In keeping with the sprit of The Showgirl Must Go On, gadgets for sale at the boutique include souvenirs, accessories and fashion items adorned with glitter, sequins and bright colors. A luxurious line of bath products — branded "Bathhouse Betty"— is a focal point of the shop with a unique collection of scented soaps, lotions and other toiletries made locally in Las Vegas ($16 and up). For the fan who can't get enough of Bette's crooning, the shop sells CDs of her hits through the years and a special CD of tunes played during her show at Caesars Palace ($16.99 - $37.99). Other souvenir items centering around The Showgirl include playing cards, chocolates, men's and women's logo shirts, tanks and hats, and of course lots of unique accessories decked-out in sequins and sparkles ($3.95 - $130).
For those looking for a more extraordinary keepsake, the boutique offers high-end items such as limited editions of Bette Midler fine art prints, diamond jewelry and custom crystal gifts. The limited edition prints by Rod Dyer, a graphic designer and long time associate of Bette's, are signed by The Divine Miss M. and sold exclusively through the boutique. The first print, "Friendship Collage" is inspired by pieces given to Bette throughout her career and displayed in one frame ($200). The second print showcases Bette in her signature Showgirl pose, wrapped up in a hot pink feather boa. For the woman who is itching for something sparkly to take home, the boutique also houses a pink, crystal-encrusted ukulele ($2,600), like the one Bette strums in the show, as well as stunning diamond and sapphire adorned pendants. Two additional favorites are the bustier necklace, which is covered in pink diamonds and outlined in sapphires ($8,000) and the Vegas sign pendant displaying Bette's name in pink diamonds with a yellow diamond border and seven sapphires across the top ($15,000).
"The evening doesn't have to stop with the show. We are offering an assortment of fun memorable items to have the night last forever," said Keith Burns, director of retail. "The pieces in the boutique truly pay homage to Bette's personality, with plenty of bright colors and pizzazz."
