The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada announces the JCCSN Patron of the Cultural Arts annual fundraising event, Red Shoe Gala 2008, a tribute honoring Toni & Victor Chaltiel, respected Patrons of the Cultural Arts, with an intimate performance by Tony Award winning entertainment legend, Mandy Patinkin and the superb musicianship of Drama Desk Award winning musical director, Zalmen Mlotek, to be held at the Venetian-Resort-Hotel-Casino on November 8, 2008 at 5:30  pm.

Honorees Toni and Victor Chaltiel are longtime philanthropists and community leaders, active in arts, education and community outreach. It is their commitment to Jewish values and their precious gifts of time, energy and charity that touch the hearts of so many in addition to making beneficial contributions to our total Las Vegas community.

Mandy Patinkin joined Zalmen Mlotek in their prize winning recording of "Mamaloshen", a collection of traditional, classic and contemporary songs that also became a successful stage production on Broadway and Off. The recording won the "Deutchten Schallplattenpreiz Award (Germany's equivalent of the Grammy Award). Both performers continually lend their talents and time to a variety of Jewish causes, charities and cultural events.  We are fortunate to have both extraordinary performers on the Venetian Showroom Stage for they are a true celebration of musical talent.

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada would like to thank its Honorary Chairpersons, Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson, for their continuous annual support. It is due to their commitment to the Las Vegas Jewish Community that this event is possible.

The Venetian Showroom and the Titian Ballroom, located in the world-class Venetian-Resort-Hotel-Casino, are the selected Red Shoe Gala venues for the evening. The popular Master of Ceremonies will be Ron Kirsh whose wit, charm and style enhance so many Jewish community happenings. In addition to performances by Mandy Patinkin and Zalmen Mlotek, the sound of the Turning Point Band will keep guests dancing throughout the evening. "We are excited about our special event and the extraordinary talent of the featured performers. We are enthused and energized by the interest and participation in the JCC cultural arts events presented during the year.  It is wonderful to be sold out for just about every one of our 2008 cultural arts programs! We hope to see the entire Jewish Community step out and dance and enjoy with us a most unique evening.  Together we can move toward the construction of a Jewish Community Center facility, where new and exciting opportunities can be planned for all", stated Jean Arin, Cultural Arts Chair.

The JCCSN Board of Directors, Gala Chair, Jean Arin, and all of the dedicated committee members are pleased to present a choice of two ticket options for our Patrons of the Cultural Arts:
