Max to sign and dedicate art purchased throughout the month of May


The Art of Peter Max Gallery in The Forum Shops will host a gallery exhibition with internationally recognized artist Peter Max on Saturday, May 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, May 25 from 1 to 4 p.m. Max will meet with fans and inscribe a priceless dedication on paintings purchased throughout the month of May. There is no charge for this event and it is open to the public.


Throughout the month of May, collectors can view the installation of original paintings available for purchase, including a five-foot tall acrylic on canvas painting titled  "ANGEL WITH HEART," created by Max exclusively for the exhibit. Also included in the installation will be images from Peter Max's recent guest appearances on CBS' "The Early Show."


The Art of Peter Max Gallery, newly remodeled in 2007, hosts the largest collection of Peter Max paintings in the world with more than 150 original Peter Max paintings available for purchase.


With an audience that is estimated to be in the millions, Max has a long-standing career as the preeminent Pop Artist in America. Max is well known for his paintings of the Statue of Liberty and his association with the United Nations. His art has appeared on everything from a Boeing 777 Continental jumbo jet, to the 1999 Woodstock stage, to a giant mural at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
