Good things come in twos for the creators of Rock 'n Roll Wine. Chris Hammond and Sonny Barton, the duo behind the hip and sexy Rock 'n Roll Wine events with a cult following across the valley, are proud to release The Grotto, the second limited release bottling from their wine subsidiary, Amplified Wines.
The Grotto is now available in Las Vegas liquor stores and will also be one of several featured wines in front of a crowd anticipated to be in excess of 3,000 at Rock 'n Roll Wine's 2nd Annual Wine Amplified Festival at Mandalay Bay Beach featuring multi-platinum artist Sugar Ray on Sept. 22, 2007.
A 100% Shiraz, The Grotto is a rich and supple red wine from the Yarra Valley located in Southeast Australia. The Grotto is now available exclusively in Las Vegas liquor stores including Lee's Discount Liquor and Khoury's Fine Wine & Spirits, and will also be able to be purchased online at www.rocknrollwine.com
"With The Grotto, as with all our wines, we wanted to create something that was approachable and sexy enough to drink on it's own in a hot tub, yet had the complexity to hold up to great food and impress the most knowledgeable of winos," says Chris Hammond.
True to the tongue and cheek style of Rock 'n Roll Wine, the bottle comes complete with instructions, according to the label, "…Turn on the titillating sounds of Prince's "Kiss," put on your favorite silk jammies or velvet jumpsuit, then pop open this bottle of seductive euphoria. (Jacuzzi suggested but not required)."
What started as a "study group" for founder Chris Hammond has rapidly developed into a national commodity. In 2007, Rock 'n Roll Wine has produced monthly events in Las Vegas and Michigan and they have plans to produce events in New York, South Florida, Phoenix and Los Angeles in addition to releasing two more wines in the Fall. Hammond and business partner, Barton are ecstatic to release their second wine, The Grotto, under their subsidiary Amplified Wines.
