Inspirada, a new master-planned community in Henderson will hold its first Fall Festival and Howl at the Moon Dog Walk on Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The free Fall Festival, which will be held throughout Inspirada's first village, Solista, and its park, will include trick-or-treating at the community's model homes, free pumpkins and decorating, professional pumpkin carving demonstrations, Halloween-inspired face painting, crafts, games, music and delicious food and treats.
The fall festivities include the Howl at the Moon Dog Walk, in cooperation with the Partners with HPD K-9, a not-for-profit organization that raises money to provide additional support to the Henderson Police Department's K-9 unit. Funds raised by the Partners with HPD K-9 organization are used toward advanced training for outreach programs, K-9 competitions and trials, demonstrations and general support. The Henderson Police K-9 unit will be holding demonstrations during the event.
For a small registration fee, with 100 percent going to Partners with HPD K-9, participants and their pets will take a mapped journey throughout Inspirada. Day-of registration will be available beginning at 3:30 p.m., however a commemorative t-shirt will be available to those who pre-register. Those who register will also be eligible to participate in a raffle for an exciting prize. To register for the dog walk, visit www.inspirada.com and follow the link for registering.
Inspirada has designated more than 300 acres of land to parks and open space, including more than 20 miles of bicycle paths and lit walking trails, along with tree-lined boulevards and natural, open spaces allowing residents walkable access to amenities throughout the community. Each village will be anchored by a central park that is within a comfortable walking distance of all homes.
When complete, Inspirada will be made up of seven villages, each with its own distinctive theme: music, art, athletics, dance, exploration, painting and science. At the heart of Inspirada is a vibrant town center called Civita, planned for restaurants, cafes, retail shops and entertainment venues. Civic amenities such as schools, police and fire stations will be interwoven throughout the community.
City of Henderson officials and a consortium of nationally recognized and award-winning homebuilders and developers have come together to create Inspirada, including: KB Home, Toll Brothers, Focus Property Group, Woodside Homes, Kimball Hill Homes, Pardee Homes, Meritage Homes and Beazer Homes. Combined, the builders will construct 13,500 residences providing homes to nearly 30,000 residents.
Currently, KB Home, Toll Brothers and Meritage Homes have homes available from 1,300 to more than 4,000 square feet with prices beginning in the mid-$200's.
