The Harrah's Foundation is the presenting sponsor of the 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards along with AT&T in Los Angeles at the Kodak Theatre on Saturday, April 26, 2008. The Harrah's Foundation donated a philanthropic contribution of $150,000 in recognition of the critical work done by Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).

"Harrah's recognizes that GLAAD plays a vital role to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. The GLAAD Media Awards recognizes and honors media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the (LGBT) community and the issues that affect their lives. Awards are presented to openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professionals who have made a significant difference in promoting equal rights for the (LGBT) community.
"The Harrah's Foundation has been a generous sponsor," said GLAAD President Neal G. Giulino. "We appreciate their contribution to keep our initiative ongoing for a fair environment for LGBT members to live, work and play."
The Harrah's Foundation is also a national sponsor and active partner of diverse LGBT organizations such as the Human Rights Campaign, the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association and the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association.
