WHAT: You have probably seen them out to lunch, at the park, at a coffee shop or at the theater, but you have never seen the Red Hat Ladies like this. Approximately 1,700 members of the Red Hat Society (RHS) are expected to converge on the Las Vegas Strip to kick their way into the history books with a Guinness World Record attempt for "Most People in a Chorus Line." Dressed in their sassy, signature, purple and red regalia, visitors to the Las Vegas Strip will see a mirage of purple and red that stretches nearly a half mile. The "hatters" are in town to celebrate the opening of HATS!, the new musical at Harrah's Las Vegas. HATS! is inspired by the fun-loving lifestyle encouraged by the Red Hat Society.
The existing world record was set in 2004 with 1, 628 participants. The RHS is expecting over 1,700 participants.
