Closing event features theatre performances, food and fun for the whole family


WHAT: The City of Henderson is celebrating the final days of the Da Vinci Experience in style with an outdoor medieval carnival called Arrivederci Da Vinci. Families can enjoy food, games, face painter, storytellers and other specialty performers during the last weekend of the exhibit. For a small donation, attendees can also try their hand at an authentic replica trebuchet (catapult) and launch soft objects at selected targets. All of the weekend's activities will be provided by the Theatre in the Valley, a local performing arts group that produces plays and musicals for the Las Vegas community.


The Da Vinci Experience is an exclusive exhibit featuring Leonardo da Vinci's remarkable inventions and copies of his most famous paintings. It is located at the Henderson Events Plaza in the Water Street District and is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday through March 2, 2008.


Nevada residents pay a special ticket price of $8.50 per person; children six and under are free. The adult admission ticket for out-of-state visitors is $17 per person. Tickets are available at the exhibit. For more information call 267-4TIX or visit www.HendersonLive.com.
