Only in Las Vegas does a 24/7 upscale bar and grill called Aces take on a "Pig Roast" Italian-style that can feed 600 people at an outdoor festive grand opening with all of the proceeds being donated to Child Haven.
The Grand Opening will include everything the Bacardi Girls, the Miller Girls along with a special appearance by the Ferrari Car Club. The dinner and non-alcoholic drinks can be had for only a $5 donation (children 5 and under are $3). There will be a Plasma TV and two mini dirt bikes raffled off. All of the funds raised will be donated to Child Haven. There will be a cash bar for alcohol drinks.
Chef Tony said, "I stuff the pig and cook it outside. The parking lot which will be half-closed off from 5-9 p.m. so that people can come out and enjoy a good time with great food and drinks. There will also be penne pasta with pink vodka sauce with peas, onions and sausage as a signature dish. I'm also serving Italian sausage and peppers, meatballs and potato salad. There will be plenty of parking along the streets."
There will be a mix of music with five DJs. The public is invited. Where else can you get a dinner like this for $5 for adults and $3 for children? Chef Tony said, "Former News Anchor Cathy Ray who is now retired from Channel 13 suggested Child Haven as a charity in desperate need. This money will come just in time for the holiday season."
The county school facility for abused and neglected children who are ages 3 to 18 stay at Child Haven until they are returned home, placed with a guardian or transferred to state custody. The campus on North Pecos is divided into cottages. Andre Agassi donated $800,000 to help them build a school facility.
