Legendary Don Rickles, who has starred in Las Vegas theaters longer than any other performer in the history of the resort city, will take the stage for his final performances of the year in The Showroom at the Golden Nugget, Oct. 5-7.

The much-honored comedian will conclude his 48th consecutive year as a Las Vegas Strip headliner when he appears for this third and final engagement of 2007.

"We are thrilled to have Don Rickles return to the Golden Nugget," said Brett Kellerman, chief operating officer for the Golden Nugget.  "He's truly one of the greatest legends of comedy."

Celebrating a successful 20-year relationship with the Golden Nugget, Rickles first appeared at the hotel in March of 1987, performing for a six year run.

When Rickles first headlined on the famed Las Vegas Strip in 1959, he attracted record crowds with his bold, freewheeling comedy approach that saw him hilariously needle members of his audiences. His "targets" regularly included the biggest names in show business.  To be picked on by Don Rickles became a badge of honor and his reputation was made.

Since then, his career has never missed a beat.  While making his mark in movies, television, theater and recordings, Rickles has remained a master of nightclub comedy with a continuing love affair with live audiences and continues to be a favorite guest of top TV interviewers such as Larry King, David Letterman and Jay Leno.

Rickles noted, "It's great coming back to the Golden Nugget and I'm so happy it's enclosed now, so I won't need a raincoat."

Rickles will perform at 9 p.m. in the newly-renovated, 600-seat Showroom for this 3-night engagement.
