FEAR AND LAUGHING IN LAS VEGAS, a new comedy endeavor created by and for locals, presents headliner Nick Thune at Four Queens Casino's Canyon Club on April 12.

About FEAR AND LAUGHING IN LAS VEGAS

FEAR AND LAUGHING formed in February 2008 in Las Vegas. A collaboration between Vegas comic Bryan Bruner and journalist Julie Seabaugh, FEAR AND LAUGHING IN LAS VEGAS seeks to remedy the shocking lack of hip, young and edgy comedy options in the entertainment capitol of the world. Bimonthly shows will feature national headliners who would otherwise remain inaccessible to Vegas locals. FEAR AND LAUGHING encourages comedy snobs and casual fans alike to "Buy the ticket, take the ride."

Bryan Bruner has performed in clubs throughout Nevada, Phoenix and California. He has opened for Last Comic Standing's Ralphie May, onetime Vegas comic Doug Stanhope and the band Flyleaf. Julie Seabaugh has written about stand-up comedy for Las Vegas Weekly and the Village Voice Media chain of publications. She has interviewed the likes of Jon Stewart, Bob Saget, Pat Cooper, Mitch Hedberg, Dave Attell, Roseanne, George Carlin, Dane Cook, Lewis Black and more.

Future shows include ExtravaGANJA: A Medical Marijuana Event on April 19.

About Nick Thune

Nick Thune's comedy is clever, deadpan, musical and highly absurd. He has appeared in the hit film Knocked Up and at the 2006 HBO Comedy Arts Festival, while his half-hour Comedy Central Presents special debuted February 8. Nick is a featured contributor on wwwFunnyOrDie.com.

Nick's official (and out-of-date) bio: "I was born in Seattle where I lived in-and-around for the next 24 years.  I gave up working for my bachelor degree at Bellevue Community College after 2.5 years.  Soon after, I started playing really stupid songs at local musical open microphones.  I wasn't funny or musicians don't like being made fun of; either way, I didn't enjoy bombing in my hometown.  Soon after I moved to Los Angeles.  That brings us to today:

I am a stand-up comedian.  You can see me at the Hollywood Improv, The Laugh Factory, terrible coffee houses or bars, and other places around the country depending on my schedule.  In the winter of 2006 I was invited to perform at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Co.  Soon after Comedy Central asked me make some short films and shoot a stand-up special (special will be airing in 2007).

I am also an actor.  I recently did some small to medium size roles in Unaccompanied Minors, Knocked Up, License to Wed, and Spring Breakdown.  The films are in the process of being finished.  All are set to release in late 2006 and early 2007."
