Comedian Bill Engvall will perform his side-splitting stand-up routine inside the Treasure Island Theatre Friday, February 29 at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.  This one-night engagement marks Engvall's debut at Treasure Island (TI).

Engvall stars in the television comedy "The Bill Engvall Show" on TBS.  Engvall plays Bill Pearson, a family counselor, father of three and a devoted husband whose character deals with dysfunctional families at work and his own mixed-up family at home.  He also hosts "Country Fried Home Videos" on CMT.  This show features video of real people in hilarious and surprising situations.  Most recently, he starred in the movie "Delta Farce" with Larry the Cable Guy and D.J. Qualls, which is available on DVD.


Engvall also is known for his sketch-comedy show "Blue Collar TV" on the WB Network with cast members Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy.  The success of the show led to the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour, The Movie" and the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again."


Along with his movies, Engvall has starred in the television comedy specials "Here's Your Sign, Live" and "15° Off Cool." 


Engvall got his start as a stand-up comic in Dallas, Texas before moving to Los Angeles to pursue television opportunities.  Engvall made his rounds on the late-night talk show circuit and got his first big break with his premiere album "Here's Your Sign."  The platinum-selling album held the No. 1 position on the Billboard Comedy Chart for several weeks.
