Stoney's Rockin' Country, the largest and highly anticipated nightspot and concert venue in Las Vegas catering to the local and visiting country crowd, opens its doors to the public. First national act, Rockie Lynn, is scheduled to play Stoney's Rockin Country on Friday, August 31 at 10 p.m.
The 20,000 square foot honky tonk hotspot is helmed by renowned nightclub operator Stoney Gray. "We really wanted to make the ultimate bar that everyone loves coming to," stated Gray. "Stoney's Rockin' Country offers a great spot to relax with friends or a place to enjoy favorite past times. We have live music, a dance floor, bowling, pool, the Cowboy Ultra-lounge and of course a few surprises up our sleeves that will keep people coming back."
Stoney's Rockin' Country will feature weekly live entertainment on the 45-foot by 25-foot main stage using a state-of-the-art Meyers Concert Series sound system to amplify the sounds of local, regional and national talent acts. Opening night sounds will be provided by Michael Austin and the Thunder Road Band who were nominated for both the Southern California Music Awards and Orange County Music Awards earlier this year.
The elevated 2,500 square foot hardwood dance floor is flanked by two full-service 45 feet and 55 feet long bars. On the bar of the drink patio women are welcome to shimmy up a bar stool and join the beautiful, brazen Stoney's girls as they two-step through all of the western favorites.
Other bar highlights include three 44-foot mini bowling lanes and four pool tables. Situated in the corner is a western staple, a mechanical bull with bleacher seating for optimal viewing. In the center of the action are two raised VIP seating areas, including the Cowboy Ultra-lounge with plush cow print wing-backed seats and access to bottle service.
Scheduled activities include nightly bull riding contests and line dancing classes every Thursday, Friday and Saturday beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday night is also Ladies Night featuring $1 drink specials. Fifteen dollar all-you-can-drink draft beer is available Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Nightly cover depends upon scheduled entertainment.
Already on the concert schedule is popular country artist Rockie Lynn for Friday, August 31 with performance included in paid cover at the door. Lynn has been seen on CMT, GAC, The Grand Ole Opry and "Good Morning America." This year, he has had three top-40 hits, with his debut single, "Lipstick" spending 12 consecutive weeks in the number one slot on Billboard's Country Singles Sales chart. His debut, self-titled album was released May 2006. For the last three years, Lynn has hosted an annual motorcycle ride called "Tribute To The Troops" where riders visit the homes of all of Minnesota's fallen soldiers to acknowledge the families for having made such an honorable sacrifice.
Stoney's Rockin' Country will be open daily from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. for line dancing and carousing in the Vegas Point Plaza located at 9155 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, Nev. 89109. For complete event and entertainment information please visit www.stoneysrockincountry.com.
