Hard To Get Las Vegas Shows and Show Ticket Tips:
Buy well in advance, but remember: some tickets are not released more than
three months ahead. Keep checking back. For reserved seat shows (most Las Vegas shows),
the earlier you buy, the better the seats.

Which Time Of Year Are Rooms The Cheapest?
Exceptions:
Bad:
- Memorial Day and Labor Day rates are typically high. Combine weekend rates with holiday demand and the prices spike.
- COMDEX (the largest computer show in the world) comes to town the second or third week or November, and you can't get a room for triple normal rates.
- National Final's Rodeo is in town the first two weeks of December driving up rates a bit.
- New Year's Eve (and the few days around it) are a huge draw, with room rates 3-4 times normal. (New Year's Eve is worth it ... check out our New Years Eve Photos and Free Streaming Video).
- Thanksgiving is a four day weekend. Although typically associated with spending time with family, many take advantage of four straight days off to get away to Las Vegas.
Good:
- The 10 days before Christmas. Most people are last minute shopping at the mall and involved in planning the holidays. If you get your shopping and decorations done a week or two early, reward yourself by unwinding in Las Vegas at huge savings for a couple of days!
An added benefit is the elbow room. Remember the waits in line for the buffets? Gone. High table limits and full tables? Forget it. All yours! And still beautiful, sunny days of sweater weather in the daytime to enjoy our great desert climate and this neon paradise.
Great, Now I Am More Confused Than Ever. When Is It Cheap?
Here is the best advice: Check the rates for the time you are looking to visit. If they are lower, the town is free and clear. I they are higher, something is happening. You can check rates for various dates with no obligation at our Las Vegas Discount Room Rates link.
