King Tut Museum
The mysteries of King Tut's Tomb are now open to the public at Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Guests can explore authentic reproductions of the treasures from what has been called the greatest archaeological find in the history of the world at the King Tut Museum. A 15-minute self-guided audio tour leads you through the hundreds of reproductions, including King Tut's sarcophagus, theworld-famous guardian statues, and an array of statues, beds, baskets, vases and pottery.
Originally discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter, the measurements of each of the King Tut Museum rooms are precisely recreated and artifact meticulously positioned according to the records maintained during the excavation; the treasures having been reproduced by artisans using the same tools and original 3,300-year-old methods, including linens and gold leaf, and precious pigments.
